Designer Sign Up

The project seeks to redefine the concept of 'Fashion Week'. This project is actually part of Software Freedom Day and is attracting worldwide attention because of its unique approach of integrating real world, web as well as mobile marketing. We believe in Open Business. we are creating a platform as an artist and a business it is your consumer who decides whether or not your product is worth it. However you will need to upload some photos as well as your profile picture and details!

Space is limited
this is the first phase toward designer self reliance. Designers participating in PRELUDE Must Sign up by September 14th 12 midnight!


Who Qualifies-
This is a designer's presentation
Designers will need to verify that they own all rights to the designs they are showing
Label will need to present through their designers. So have your company's designer sign up!

How To Apply

Any designer within our network can request show privilege by joining the Brooklyn Fashion Week group, but will not be viable for sales and to pitch funding programs. All designers will have access to tools, and resources. Deadline for inclusion in Brooklyn Fashion Week Catalogue is September 20th!

What do I need To Participate
  • your sample line of your latest collection. no Less than 5 pcs no more than 10 pc for showroom taping. your models , make up hair accessories must sell your vision , This is a Video Storyboard
  • Full collection -can be presented within each designers"virtual Studio"
  • you will be required to present a 30 second to 1 minute pitch on your company
  • Each item requires a product profile , Sku number and simple shots so we can identify.
Sale and Funding for your line.
Fashion Week presentation should be about selling your garment or attracting funding. all designers must participate in our sales and marketing beta component
  • designers featured must tape on September 16th.
  • Designer with items for sale must have description, sku nos, and, deliver dates and wholesale and retail cost
  • if needed we will have a group fast track workshop to help designers resolve some of the issues with this!
  • We are exploring funding options designers will have the option of opting out of this component as they see fit.
What Season
  • We deal with indie designers who tend to do immediate we will however have a directional category designers could opt to show in both. however do not your 2005 collections. We are looking for cutting edge, new, bold.
What does it entail
  • Showroom video-presentation Sunday September 16th 10am-1pm
  • Saturday September29th designer show and sale. arrange your own or we will help.
  • Designer studio- you must commit to maintaining an online studio.
  • Brooklyn designers catalog
  • Collaboration each designer must market the event to their mailing list!

Will there be a live show
  • September 29th - Brooklyn shopping Day.
  • Individual live event is optional. However Brooklyn Style presentations are live events at local community centers- clubs, lounges churches. where designers sell right after showing.
  • Please add your events to our calendar whether or not you choose to actively participate.
What Exposure
  • Do search for Brooklyn Fashion and then decide
  • Local/ Traditional press
  • Widespread web exposure
  • Brooklyn Designers Catalog to distributed at major events!
  • Web and traditional television exposure!
  • This will be a permanent available online.
Is there a Cost!
Yes we've managed to drastically cut the cost through the use of Free and Open Source Software. We have a great team of Volunteers and Sponsors. However there are some cost that cannot be avoided.
  • Designers will be responsible for their own models , hair and make up we recommend collaboration with colleagues.
